MEET OUR EVENT LEADERSHIP
Thanks to the leadership of our volunteer chairs and committee members, we are honored to present the Ninth Annual Georgia Nurse of the Year Awards.
The March of Dimes and the families we serve are grateful for the generosity and effort of our committee that makes this event possible. After months of planning and hard work, this dedicated tream has taken the event to new heights, honoring more nurses across the state of Georgia than ever before.
2018 Georgia Nurse of the Year Event Chair
Bernadette C. Bellamy
Bernadette Bellamy, MBA, BSN, CCM has twenty-four years of extensive experience in healthcare business and account management, clinical process and program development and workforce performance. Her career has evolved from clinical bedside care to business owner to managed care and population health to her most recent role as Clinical Manager at Optum. During her tenure at Optum, she joined nearly 32,000 clinicians located in all fifty states and seven countries around the world as a part of United Health Group.
She successfully blends an extensive background in nursing, business administration and client services to deliver corporate deliverables, leadership and performance development to expand workforce capability and drive change for positive quality outcomes. She has excelled in post-care care and team performance and development. She has a proven track record of building successful professional relationships that enable change and improve the way healthcare creates and delivers value.
Bernadette holds a BSN in Nursing from Auburn University at Montgomery, an M.B.A. from Pfeiffer University and is certified in case management.
Bernadette resides in Kennesaw, GA with her husband. They have six children and eight grandchildren.
