We are following state mandated guidelines in response to COVID-19 and will not have an in-person event this year. So, we are preparing an exciting, new Virtual Gala for your 2020 March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction experience!

Every year, 15 million babies are born prematurely worldwide, and 1 million will die before their first birthday. Your gift helps the March of Dimes fund research, education, advocacy and programs that help more moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies.
2016 Event Chair: Sarah Oakley RN, MSN, NEA-BC Chief Nursing Officer North Kansas City Hospital The Nurse of the Year Awards Gala is a formal event honoring the dedication and commitment of the Kansas and Greater Kansas City medical community. The event seeks to recognize key local nurses at the height of their professional careers, create a network and collaboration of professional nursing groups in the greater metropolitan area and create a mechanism for nursing retention. All while generating support for the March of Dimes mission to improve the health of babies. The 2016 event will take place Saturday, October 29th at 6:00 p.m. at the Westin Crown Center Hotel. A cocktail reception and formal dinner will precede the awards presentation.
March of Dimes is proud to announce the winners for the 2016 Nurse of the Year Awards. Winners will be announced at the Nurse of the Year Awards Gala on Saturday, October 29, 2016. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all the wonderful nurses who participated in the 2016 Nurse of the Year event.
Since 2011 the March of Dimes have been honoring nurses in Kansas and the Greater Kansas City area. In 2015: -- 460 event attendees -- 630 Nurses nominated from 52 health care facilities throughout Kansas and Greater Kansas City -- 22 Award Winners selected from 104 Nurse Finalists -- $150,500 raised in support the March of Dimes Mission For a full list of our past winners click here.
