The chefs, volunteers and guests who make up our Signature Chefs Events community are coming together in new, innovative ways to suport moms and babies this year.

We are following state mandated guidelines in response to COVID-19 and will not have an in-person event this year. So, we are preparing an exciting, new Virtual Gala for your 2020 March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction experience!

We need your help now more than ever. Your support funds:

  • COVID-19 interventions and support for moms and babies
  • Programs that promote health equity for moms and babies and directly combat racial disparities in maternal and child health
  • Free virtual NICU support program for families
  • Virtual prenatal programs for moms-to-be
  • Educational programs, including live Facebook panel discussions, to get info into the hands of moms and families
  • Necessary supplies for expectant mothers including blood pressure cuffs and masks and so much more!

CATEGORY DESCRIPTIONS

Advocacy for Patients
RNs who go beyond the call of duty to advocate for patients.

Ambulatory Care – NEW
For nursing professionals that treat patients that seek routine medical care for acute and chronic illnesses as well as injuries.
 
Clinical Care
RNs who demonstrate excellence in delivering care directly to the patient in any clinical setting.
 
Distinguished Nurse of the Year
RNs whose contributions and accomplishments have had an extraordinary influence within the nursing profession in Washington.
 
Education
Nursing students that have demonstrated outstanding professionalism and mastered the coursework necessary for a successful nursing career and RN’s that have made significant contributions in education, professional development, and/or long-term learning of nursing professionals.
 
Emergency
Emergency - ER, flight and ambulance.
 
Front Line Leader
Includes nurses in general medical/surgical or specialty unit area of nursing who function in the Charge Nurse, ANM, or Supervisor role. Includes Adult ICU/CCU, IMC, cath lab and special procedures, PTCA Interventional Radiology, ER, Surgical, Labor & Delivery, NICU with intermediate care units and PICU.
 
Hospice, Home Health & Palliative Care
Nursing in inpatient/outpatient hospice settings and nursing in all home health care settings.

Nursing Administration and Leadership
Includes CNE’s, CNO’s, VP’s, Administrative Directors, and Department Directors/Managers.
 
Pediatric
RNs whose influence and service in the care of pregnant mothers and babies exemplifies the mission of the March of Dimes to improve the health of babies.

Research Advancement
Nurses who use, implement, supervise, conduct, design, or teach research to advance quality improvement, evidence-based practice or clinical outcomes.  This category recognizes nurses who use research to guide practice and develop policies.

Rising Star
RNs who, within the first 18 months of practice exemplify outstanding caring, leadership, and professionalism.
 
Women's Health
Nurses who provide care in ante partum clinics, antepartum hospital units, labor and delivery, maternal/baby care, post-partum and gynecology.
